I think the line for the high oil mark is wrong, that only gives me about an inch of frying depth with the basket in. I added more oil and WOW, this thing really frys. Temp seemed a little on the high side, but watching the food close everything came out crispy. Doesn't seem to be much of a temperature drop after adding food either. I've gone through alot of fryers and this is the top of the list so far. The extremely short cord and the magnetic plug are the only drawbacks.
