Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Waring PJE101 Quite White Juice ExtractorCustomer Review: Happy Juicing Summary: 4 Stars
This juicer is everything I had hoped it would be. It extracts every last drop of juice from your produce - if you use it correctly. The trick is to let the machine run for AT LEAST 5 minutes after you no longer see any produce in the chute. I tried to use the included filters, the result was less than desirable. Yes, cleanup was just a hair easier, but I did not get anywhere near the amount of juice that I got without the filter. The juicer disassembles easily for cleanup, the strainer basket takes a little care to clean. Due to its design, it is not possible to just scrub and rinse. You will have to use a papertowel or sponge to get the last pulp out. I would strongly recommend to wash the parts immediately after juicing, letting the pulp dry is not the best idea. The chute is a little small, my only complaint with this unit, otherwise I would have rated it five stars.
Description of Waring PJE101 Quite White Juice ExtractorCarrots, celery, beets, cucumbers, apples--all vegetables and fruits, with the exception of citrus, go into this powerful 550-watt compact juicer's feed chute and come out the spout as pure, fresh juice. (For citrus fruits, you must purchase a separate attachment.) A stainless-steel blade chops the vegetables and fruits, and centrifugal force, just as high-school physics teachers promise, spins the juice from the pulp and through a strainer before it pours from the spout. Disposable paper filters (included), useful for soft fruits, can be placed inside the strainer to further filter juice. You can employ the pulp to flavor soups, casseroles, breads, cakes, and sauces, or it can go into the compost pile. Twisting off the cover opens the juicer for simple disassembly and cleaning. The stainless-steel bowl can go into the dishwasher, but other parts must be hand washed. The juicer is 11-1/2 inches high and 9-1/4 inches wide.
